As we get older life seems to get more complicated, kids, jobs, stress, and not to mention some of the aches and pains we did not feel in our teenage years or even early to mid-twenties!

It happens to us all… remember there is nothing more valuable than time.

We are all in this boat together no matter how young or old you are=)

So take care of yourself on this journey!

I am midway through my thirties…..and I love it=) As you get older …the wisdom that comes is awesome!

With my Birthday right around the corner June 17th to be exact…hint..hint=)….(you better not buy me anything that was a joke) LOL.

Anyways I want(ed) to get in the BEST shape of my life!

This is a real challenge for me right now. Considering I used to do figure competitions and have NO DESIRE to do those again. But not only that…. I AM NOT 25, 26, or even 30 anymore!

Plus all of the demands I face. I am writing this for YOU to keep your goals real in the face of obstacles that we ALL FACE! And to keep you motivated! If it were easy everyone would do it right?

There is a reason that…..

Percent of adults age 20 years and over who are obese: 33.9% (2007-2008)

Percent of adults age 20 years and over who are overweight (and not obese): 34.4% (2007-2008)

I pulled these STATS straight from The Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Man this is SAD but its true!

Anyways I wanted to touch on the struggles I am facing right now…because they are not unique to me. We all suffer from a condition…called being human and we tend to be pretty much the same in many areas=)

So I set out mid month April and said….”I am going to be in the best shape of my life for my 35 birthday” . I promised to keep it real to help our clients out! Sometimes trainers want keep up an image that we are so HEALTHY and eat perfect ..yada …yada! But we are human too we have our moments of EMOTIONAL eating, STRESS eating, ANGER eating and yes even BOREDOM eating!

(The easiest of the emotional eating triggers to control is boredom eating) I got these emotional trigger from a study Doctor OZ did. We all struggle with these triggers...but the great news is you can control them!

We have our… I just don’t care moments. Sometimes you JUST WANT TO EAT what you WANT TO EAT! The great thing about this is (you can do this) in moderation of course! You can eat what you want at least once a week and the best thing about it is there is a biological benefit to it! It actually SPEEDS up your metabolism.

So the obstacles I am facing:

TIME: Since I have started a business my time has become scarce. I don’t have much. I am sure a lot of you can relate as I know many of you are in management positions, you are doctors, lawyers, have kids etc…. So sometimes it truly is a struggle to get my workouts in.

STRESS: Stress is very interrelated with the time factor. When you are SUPER busy as many of us are…… A Myriad of things start to happen. Our bodies produce more Cortisol the (stress hormone).

We stress eat. I could go on and on about this, frankly this could be a whole new blog post.

KIDS/HUSBAND/FAMILY/FRIENDS: Oh– this is a good one to sabotage us=) The parties, the husband, let’s get pizza tonight or he brings home the bottle of wine=) Even the extended family…I don’t know about you but I grew up in an Italian Family and they are like the (crack dealers for pasta) “Mangia” “Mangia” They never believe that you really are FULL!

MOTIVATION: This is big staying motivated! Amidst all of the stress, time constraints, family, and friends …you have to be MOTIVATED! Otherwise nothing happens.

Now on to the How to ATTACK… These obstacles…like the KICKASS FIT WOMAN you are=) Sorry had to throw that in=)

TIME: like Nike says “Just Do It” this is SO TRUE…. Stop making excuses because who really wants to sit back and get overweight and out of shape? I think I can safely say NO ONE!

Schedule your sessions and classes like you would a doctor appointment and then do not break it. 90% of the battle is just getting there do not let your mind start to talk you out of it.

Tell your husband or significant other…. Or whoever may be trying to get you not to do it…that you have got to take time to for yourself. YOU are the most important person in your life…..let me repeat that... YOU are the most important person in your life! Nobody else is going to take care of you for you…so do it! I know some of you could be thinking this sounds selfish..but keep in mind you truly can not take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself! It’s true!

Another important tip to remember is life happens! Just jump back on the workout wagon again. Just because you stopped for a little while does not mean you have fallen of the wagon for good.

Stress: Stress is a part of life…you are not going to live a completely stress free life (it would probably be very boring). We do want to manage it. One great thing about exercise (and after this blog post you are making the time) is it helps combat stress! When stress happens, which it will, you are more ready physically and mentally to handle it.

In this blog post I am referring to stress as more of a saboteur of weight loss. How does it sabotage our weight loss efforts and efforts to get in shape?

Well when you are stressed your body produces adrenaline…. The flight or fight response. Again this could be a whole new post. So for our purposes I am going to keep it short and sweet.

You burn more calories when stressed and your body wants that serotonin production (the feel good neurotransmitter) which is increased in the body by eating carbohydrates. So we are essentially self medicating ourselves. Half the battle is being aware we are doing this.

So when you are under a lot of stress you need to decompress. You have GOT to learn other ways of dealing with stress than over eating and self medicating with food. But keeping it real you will do this from time to time we are HUMAN=)

Some ways to cope: Let go! Learn to just let go. Go for a walk…just a nice walk this is double fold you are moving and combating stress…like the NINJA you are=D

Learn to meditate, take our Yoga classes, Tina is great. This is a great way to decompress and distress.

Watch a movie and above all else…EVERYDAY take time for yourself=)

KIDS/HUSBAND/FAMILY/FRIENDS: This is an easy one…JUST SAY NO! To the pasta crack dealers=) Hopefully no one take offense to that!( I love my family). But it’s true learn to say no=)

MOTIVATION: Well this is where we strive to shine=) Fit Women’s Mission is to “Motivate, Inspire, Connect and Change Women’s life with Enthusiasm through Exercise and Nutrition in a Non-Intimidating Environment! We do our best to keep you motivated! Again though, ultimately, we can give you KICKASS Fun Workouts but you have got to get your BUTT in the car and get there! So motivation needs to be internal.

Well as for me I am motivated to get in better shape again and hopefully this post helps you as well!

Maybe I won’t be in the BEST shape of my life, but I will Kick it up a notch!!

One of the beautiful things about getting older is learning to love yourself just the way you are!

So to recap: Mini Plan of ATTACK to get Motivated! Print this out=) Let’s avoid being part of the statistics of the obesity epidemic, and Live our Best Life=)

Listen to YOUR body. Give your body the right amount of rest and exercise.

Manage emotional eating. If you are bored read a book or go for a walk.

Manage time efficiently set your exercise appointments in your calendar like you would a doctor appointment. Do whatever it take to just get to the workouts. Fit Women Instructors can handle the rest!

Manage stress. Learn to mediate, take yoga, or go for a walk. Remember give yourself ME TIME EVERYDAY. LAUGH everyday!

Stay Motivated! Set a goal for the Month of May to exercise 6 Days a week! Do something to get moving! We can do it=)

I want to hear your thoughts on this! What motivates you and keeps you going or if you have any tips.. Let’s hear them!

Thanks Let’s Make May GREAT!

Nestled in the Orlando women’s weight loss program for yoga ladies and Pilates babes is Yogalaties. If it sounds like the exercise world has gone a bit over the edge, you’re in for a big fun surprise. Combining yoga and Pilates to challenge the body can burn calories, develop muscle tone and flatten abdomens. Yoga strengthens muscles while Pilates adds strength and depth, and the combination is perfectly Yogalaties successful.

Orlando Women’s Weight Loss Program Is Very Un-Mysterious

Losing weight with the tight Orlando women’s weight loss program is quite a bit different than many other programs – it’s fun! Following a weight loss program should not be a chore that you dread each day. In fact, that’s why so many people fail when trying to lose weight. They treat getting healthy as if it’s something being forced on them and losing weight as an act of desperation.

The first thing you need to realize is that there’s no mystery to burning calories. In fact, you burn calories each time your heart beats, you take a breath or blink an eye. Weight loss is merely a matter of burning more calories than you consume. It really is that simple.

The real mystery is why weight loss and fitness are turned into complicated processes requiring ‘secret’ programs that claim astonishing results. The truth is you need to increase your daily activity to supplement a reduced calorie healthy diet. Since the number of calories consumed is lowered, it’s much easier to burn more calories than eaten and weight loss occurs.

Here’s another non-mystery: Any activity added to your daily routine will burn additional calories even if it doesn’t involve high speed running miles or ducking balls on a racquetball court. That’s where calorie burning, muscle strengthening, flexibility improving Yogalaties enters the picture.

What Will They Think of Next?

Kettlebells, fitness boot camps, Zumba – what will they think of next? How about Yogalaties which is a combination of yoga and Pilates? It’s a perfect pairing for the Orlando Women’s weight Loss programs. Yoga focuses on flexibility and strength. Pilates was developed to build strength in the body’s core. Blending the two kinds of exercises together creates a set of exercises that works all of the body’s muscles and then goes deep into the core or abs.

It’s not a gimmick. It’s not a quick fix for soft abdomen muscles. It does soothe the spirit even while toning the muscles. It does burn calories. It does develop muscle strength, joint flexibility, balance and confidence. When you attend an Orlando women’s weight loss class offering Yogalaties, you will discover that losing weight really can be fun:

Attain certain postures that stretch and strengthen muscles, tendons and ligaments

Focus on your body and imagine your ultimate weight loss goal to inspire confidence and self-esteem

Learn controlled breathing which promotes healthy cells

Learn poses that challenge the body to perform

Hold stretches to develop balance and equilibrium

And yes…Yogalaties will make you work up a sweat too because you work your muscles steadily. In fact, one of the main benefits of Yogalaties is the fact you use the whole body and then add exercises that focus on the abdomen muscles.

Making the Effort

Of course, people want to know how many calories are burned. The answer is that you can burn anywhere from a couple of hundred to 450 calories per hour. Why the difference? Every exercise depends on effort for calorie burning. That’s why someone walking doesn’t burn as many calories as someone jogging.

When you do your Yogalaties as a component of the Orlando women’s weight Loss program, it’s important that you put as much effort into it as possible. The right exercise program will ask you to find your capacity and then improve to find a new capacity. That’s the power of Yogalaties – it stretches your body, your mind and your confidence even while helping you lose weight. In other words – it’s fun!

The right Orlando women’s weight loss and fitness program is going to help people age gracefully. We may not think about weight loss and fitness in those terms, but that is what it’s really all about – aging in a way that allows us to lower the risk of developing weight related diseases, maintain energy and enjoy life. Weight loss should be viewed from the broader perspective because it means so much more than just looking good in a new outfit.

Orlando Women’s Weight Loss Means Graceful Aging

There are people who have such serious problems with weight gain that they are said to be morbidly obese. The morbidly obese are generally defined as someone who is at or over 100 pounds of normal weight. The good news is that most people are not combating that much excess weight and just need to lose 20 or maybe 30 pounds in order to feel good and fit their clothes comfortably once again.

Graceful aging means taking care of your body and emotional well being. Eating healthy and getting regular exercise are the keys. A low fat diet rich in fiber, minerals, vitamins and other nutrients can help you avoid all those diseases that are age related including:

Type 2 diabetes

High blood pressure

Heart disease

Osteoarthritis

Certain cancers like colon cancer

Obesity gets a lot of attention in the U.S. It seems like every time you turn on the television there’s an ad for a new fad diet. The problem is these fad diets don’t accompany exercise programs. You may lose weight temporarily, but it won’t be for a lifetime because exercise is required to develop a healthy body. Yet the fad diets keep on appearing, and women spend thousands of dollars trying to lose weight with as little effort as possible.

Getting Calories Right

A quality Orlando women’s weight loss program will blend nutrition with exercise.

Your body gets the right calories and not just fewer calories; while the exercise helps your body process those right calories efficiently and effectively. What are the right calories? They are calories that serve a purpose like fiber to help digestion or fruit high in antioxidants for healthy cell functioning.

The right calories even include fat because the body needs proteins, carbohydrates and fat to stay healthy. If you cut all fat out of your diet your body could not function. The Orlando women’s weight loss program will include the right fats which include polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats.

The same is true of carbohydrates. The right carbohydrates will lower unhealthy cholesterol levels and help maintain healthy blood sugar. Whole grains and legumes are the right carbohydrates while processed sugar is not good for the body.

Food the Right Way

It is important to think about food in the right way. Fad diets that either starve your body or cut out whole food types like carbohydrates are not healthy. A healthy diet balances the right proteins, right carbohydrates and right fats in a way that promotes weight loss and general good health. The right foods are then blended with exercise, and you have a lifetime program that is easy to maintain.

When you choose an Orland women’s weight loss program, keep in mind that the rate of aging is something you have control over to a large degree. The jokes about the “the new 60 is 40” is actually referring to the fact people are living longer and healthier lives and aging slower than they did in the past. You can join the younger crowd too. All you have to do is get the right diet and exercise.

Get off the treadmill and on the dance floor with an Orlando women’s weight loss program that has a Latin beat. Zumba is a type of dance that is high energy, calorie burning and so much fun you don’t even realize you’re exercising. It’s aerobic exercise that helps you lose weight while also developing coordination and improving flexibility.

Dance Off the Calories with an Orlando Women’s Weight Loss Program

Losing weight is challenging at any age, so anything that can turn monotonous exercise routines into pleasurable ones are welcomed. Zumba is a moderate to high intensity aerobic dance that was designed to make exercising enjoyable. You get the benefit of strengthening your cardiovascular system, burning calories and meeting people with similar goals.

Zumba has been around since the 1990s when Columbian choreographer Alberto Perez created it by combining dance steps and aerobic exercises. The energetic routines include a variety of steps and arm and hand movements that get your heart beating like it would on a treadmill or jogging. However, Zumba is a dance routine so you kick, swing, squat, lunge, belly dance, salsa, merengue and much more to music.

When you join an Orlando women’s weight loss program and decide that Zumba should be included as an aerobic exercise, there are additional benefits. Zumba involves slow and fast rhythms so it has an interval training component. In addition, the dance class also offers resistance training, balance and flexibility development, and muscle toning. It’s not surprising that Zumba has become so popular for weight loss.

The Power of Aerobic Exercise

Have you wondered how aerobic exercise helps you lose weight? Aerobic exercise refers to repetitive actions that are done in a way that forces the heart and lungs to work harder. It’s necessary to use the large body muscles like the back, core, legs and so on to force a physical energy demand.

Zumba is a form of high intensity interval training. You will exercise for up to an hour, and for that hour you will switch back and forth between high and low intensity exercises. During the high intensity period, more calories are burned because your body is forced to breathe harder to get the oxygen it needs to keep up with the muscles. You breathe harder and the heart pumps faster and the body uses more calories for energy.

During the lower intensity periods during Zumba dances, you’re still burning calories but at a lower rate. So during an hour of Zumba, you’re burning more calories than you would if doing steady pace exercises, like on an elliptical machine, because of the high intensity dance segments. Zumba can be a fun and effective component of an Orlando women’s weight loss program.

Laughter Filled Exercise

You need approximately 150 minutes of higher intensity exercise each week to lose weight. That’s easy to get when you join a Zumba class. Don’t worry about keeping up either. Once of the advantages of Zumba is that you can do your best and get plenty of exercise. If you stick with it, the steps will become more natural and the pace will increase naturally also.

Zumba classes are always filled with laughter. You don’t even realize you’re exercising during an Orlando women’s weight loss class. So get ready for the Latin beat and have some fun exercising and losing weight. It doesn’t get any better than that!

A powerfully effective Orlando women’s weight loss program relies on the power of vegetables. Dietary Guidelines for Americans calls for turning half your plate into fruits and vegetables, and that can power up your weight loss. The nutritional benefits of vegetables are endless and consuming a diet high in these nutrient rich foods can lead to healthy weight loss.

Pump Up Orlando Women’s Weight Loss with Power Vegetables

Remember when your mother told you to eat your broccoli because it’s good for you? She knew what she was talking about. Broccoli has virtually no fat, no cholesterol and a low carbohydrate content. A serving of 91 grams contains more than the daily recommended amount of vitamin C plus it contains vitamin A, calcium and iron. Eat your broccoli like your mom said and you also get a good source of dietary fiber, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus.

Welcome to the power vegetables! In the world of food, some vegetables are like bodybuilders with massive muscles able to life astonishing weight. The power vegetables are loaded with a variety of nutrients including vitamins, minerals, fiber, healthy fats and protein. Instead of pumping sugar and saturated fat into your body, vegetables help you powerlift the foods that control appetite, promote healthy cell development and lower the risk of disease.

One of the benefits of vegetables, often overlooked, is the fact you can eat as many and as much as you want of the power fruits and vegetables to control appetite. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) did a study on whether eating fruits and vegetables can help weight loss and management. The findings said that one of the reasons people have trouble losing and controlling weight is due to the fact they feel hungry or don’t feel full after eating so they keep eating. It’s the amount of food as opposed to calorie count of the food that creates a full feeling in the stomach. Once full, the natural tendency is to stop eating.

Is That Food Dense?

Energy density is defined by the CDC as the relationship of calories to food weight. Calories are energy, by the way. High energy density means the food has a high number of calories based on the food quantity. Without even changing the calorie amount, you can eat low energy density foods like broccoli in larger quantities until you feel full. Fruits and vegetables have fewer calories because they contain high fiber and water content.

In the Orlando women’s weight loss program, the high energy density foods are replaced with fruits and vegetables. As a result, you are much less likely to overeat. In other words, weight loss and weight management is as much a function of the type of calories eaten versus the quantity of calories.

Low energy density foods have .7 to 1.5 calories per each gram. Good examples of these types of foods include cantaloupe, tomatoes, carrots, strawberries, blueberries, and mother’s broccoli. You can also substitute low energy density foods in recipes calling for high energy density foods on the Orlando women’s weight loss program. For example, if you make a sandwich, the amount of fatty meat is reduced and the amount of tomatoes, onions and other vegetables is raised.

So your mom was right. Broccoli is not only good for you; it is good for weight loss and management too. Isn’t it nice to know there are foods you can eat as much of as you want?

The Orlando women’s weight loss program does a lot more than help with weight loss. In fact, one of the many glorious side effects of a healthy nutritional plan is healthier skin. Getting and staying healthy by making good diet and physical activity decisions conveys benefits we may not think about while trying to lose weight, but they accrue anyway.

Orlando Women’s Weight Loss Program Makes Skin Glow

You stay out of the sun to protect your skin, but did you know that skin must be protected from the inside too? One of the unexpected benefits of eating healthy foods loaded with antioxidants is healthier skin. Free radical damage and normal aging leads to loss of skin elasticity and collagen breakdown which eventually causes wrinkles.

Protecting your skin from free radical damage is not difficult. You keep staying out of the sun and then add foods high in antioxidants to your diet. The foods that fit this description include the very foods that should be added to a healthy nutritional plan for weight loss and weight management. They include brightly colored fruits and vegetables, fish oils and foods containing high levels of Vitamin which is an antioxidant.

Berries like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries high in antioxidants

Apples which contain flavonoids, phytochemicals and polyphenols

Broccoli and Brussel sprouts contain high levels of Vitamin C

Cantaloupe, oranges and kiwi also contain high levels of Vitamin C

Tomatoes with high levels of lycopene for fighting skin damage from UV rays

Salmon with high levels of Vitamins A and E preventing cell oxidation and inflammation

This is just a sample of the types of foods women should eat to protect their skin from damage and wrinkling. It just so happens these are the same types of foods that are included in the Orlando women’s weight loss program too and for a very good reason. The super foods high in antioxidants and micronutrients that are good for the skin are also low calorie and have no or low fat and cholesterol.

Redefining the ‘Fast’ in Fast Food

Yet another benefit of the super foods good for weight loss and skin quality is the fact they are ‘fast.’ Fast foods are typically thought of as foods purchased at a fast food restaurant that is filled with fat, cholesterol and calories.

It’s time to redefine ‘fast’ as you begin an Orlando women’s weight loss program. Fast will refer to fast preparation and fast nutrition for busy women. You can’t get much faster than a bowl of blueberries and strawberries, a salad filled with leafy green vegetables like spinach or broccoli, or baked salmon. A snack or meal of these types of foods will help you lose weight, and as an added benefit, help your skin stay elastic and healthy looking.

Instead of looking at weight loss as a single act with one purpose, view it as a lifestyle change that promotes good health from the inside to the outside. The food choices you make on an Orlando women’s weight loss program has a lot to do with the health status achieved. If you go ‘fast’, go healthy fast. If you get hungry, choose foods high in antioxidants.

Your body and your skin will thank you.

The Orlando women’s weight loss program is designed for…surprise…women! The fact is that women really are different from men in ways other than the obvious. They have hormonal differences and muscle mass differences and thus more difficulty losing weight. As a result, a weight loss program needs to address these issues to improve the chances of success.

No Tricks in the Orlando Women’s Weight Loss Program

Here’s a trick question: Why do women seem to have so much trouble losing weight? It goes on so easily, but is so difficult to get off. It seems to get even more difficult with aging.

It’s not really a trick question, but the answer may surprise some people. Women have slower resting metabolic resting rates than men. The men who keep saying, “If I can lose weight easily, you can too” are probably not aware of this fact. Those off-the-cuff remarks assume that men and women can lose weight by doing the same things.

There are several reasons that interplay and contribute to women’s slower metabolism.

Women have between 60 to 80 percent of a typical man’s muscle mass. Muscles burn calories during physical activity, so less muscle means fewer calories burned.

Women have more fat on their body. In fact, muscle is responsible for metabolizing fat, so more body fat and less muscle also makes it more difficult for women to lose weight.

Then there are hormones – estrogen levels influence weight. As women get older, and especially after menopause, the ovaries start lowering the production of estrogen. Since fat is where estrogen is accessed, the body begins to accumulate fat in an effort to provide a healthy supply of estrogen.

It may seem like nature has conspired against women who want to maintain a healthy weight, but all of these physical characteristics have a reproductive purpose. The bottom line is that women must simply overcome nature by following programs specifically designed for women like an Orlando women’s weight loss program.

Impact of Exercise

Understanding that women and men have different physical characteristics that influence weight gain and loss, women must work a bit longer and harder to burn the same amount of calories as men. Since men have more muscle, they are able to burn more calories during a workout session.

Women can compensate by taking advantage of high energy fitness classes that burn calories at a higher rate than lower energy classes. For example, Orlando women’s weight loss programs can include nutritional coaching to lower the calorie consumption level coupled with fitness classes like Zumba, Boot Camp and/or Kettlebells.

Despite the physical differences between women and men, it’s possible for women to be just as successful at losing weight. Taking advantage of an Orlando women’s weight loss program is the first step. Bottom line? It’s not tricky at all.

The Orlando women’s weight loss program is ready to turn into an exercise myth buster. Unfortunately, there are many women operating under false assumptions, and it impacts their choice exercises and nutritional practices. Debunking these myths can lead to better results in any weight loss program.

Orlando Women’s Weight Loss Nutrition Myths Debunked

There is a show on television that is dedicated to proving or disproving scientific myths, and the results are often surprising. Many myths we grow up with and take for granted as true are really more like old wives tales that science proved wrong years ago. Most of us have trouble letting go of beliefs we grew up with though, but when they hurt weigh loss efforts, the time for changing beliefs has arrived.

For example, there is a persistent belief that the time of day you eat calories will influence weight loss. The truth is that weight loss is a result of burning more calories than are consumed that day. Eating all your meals before noon still won’t change that fact but it may leave you really hungry and more prone to snack on unhealthy foods.

Another common myth is that all fats are bad for you. That is simply not true. Fat has gotten a bad rap as the evil component of food, but the body needs fat as much as it needs carbohydrates and proteins. In addition, fat is digested slower than proteins and carbohydrates so it leaves you feeling satisfied longer. The key is to choose the unsaturated fats and to consume them in the right proportions if you want to lose weight.

As for carbs, the myth is that carbohydrates will make you gain weight. It’s not the carbs per se that make you gain weight. Like fat, it’s the type and quantity of carbs consumed and what’s added to the carb loaded foods that impact your health. For example, sugar and other types of processed carbohydrates can raise blood sugar levels and promote diabetes. However, your body needs some carbs but they need to be unprocessed to promote weight loss.

Fitness Myths Debunked, Too

As if the myths about nutrition aren’t enough, there are also fitness myths that women insist on maintaining. One of the most common is the belief that strength training exercises using weights will lead to big muscle development. The truth is that women with typical hormone levels don’t have enough testosterone to build bulky muscles. Their muscle fiber structure is also different from that of men and not conducive to developing large muscles.

Here’s another myth: Women talk about losing fat in certain spots. When you participate in an Orlando women’s weight loss program, the whole body is targeted. You can tone muscles in spots, but you can’t lose fat in a specific area. Fat reduction occurs on a whole body basis by participating in aerobic exercise classes, doing resistance training, and eating a healthy diet.

Beware of Myths!

There are many other myths that persist. A professional who has studied weight loss through nutrition and exercise can help you decipher the truths and the myths. Just remember, there is no mystery to weight loss. The Orlando women’s weight loss program is based on one solid fact: Calories burned must exceed calories consumed, and there’s no myth about it.

For total body fitness, Orlando women’s weight loss programs are turning to a new version of an old-fashioned training style called kettlebells. Despite sounding like something for the kitchen, they are weight equipment designed to promote use of muscle groups and to increase the heart rate. It’s a total body workout that burns calories and tones muscles at a faster rate than many other workouts.

Orlando Women’s Weight Loss Turns Up the Heat with Kettlebells

Losing weight is all about calories, but you also want to build and tone muscles. With kettlebells, you can both goals in a way that is more effective than many other exercise programs. It’s not a fad either because kettlebells have been around for hundreds of years since they came into use approximately 350 years ago in Russia.

Kettlebells are best described as being shaped like iron cannonballs with handles. In 1948, Russian athletes began using them in official sport – kettlebell lifting. Now there are national and international competitions held regularly. However, their popularity among athletes has led to their popularity in gyms where people trying to lose weight and firm their bodies are enjoying swinging kettlebells.

Kettlebells used by participants in Orlando women’s weight loss programs are discovering that kettlebells are unique in a number of ways. Designed with a center of gravity that is located beneath the handle, unlike a dumbbell, kettlebells can be used in movements that engage multiple muscles at once.

You don’t just work biceps or triceps or the abdomen. You can swing the weight from side to side while in a squat or squat and lift and then swing, for example. These kinds of flexible moves engage the legs, back, hips, butt, chest and arms. By doing rapid repetitions, you can burn more calories during a workout session than would be possible using standard free weights.

Challenge Your Body to Lose Weight

Another advantage of using kettlebells in an Orlando women’s weight loss program is the fact the workouts produce aerobic results in addition to strength training. These weights are so effective at working muscles you’ll feel results the very first time. The intensity of the workouts can be modified to accommodate different conditioning levels. The weights come in different sizes too.

To avoid injury, it’s important to learn how to properly use the weights from a professional. They are very safe to use if you learn proper technique.

Exercises in the Orlando women’s weight loss program use muscle integration to develop overall body conditioning. Kettlebells work your body and your heart at the same time so you experience ideal conditions for weight loss. In addition, many of the exercises are weight bearing meaning you also strengthen bones and joints.

They are fun to use too which is just an added bonus!

If you want to step up your workout routines and experience total body fitness while enhancing weight loss results, kettlebells are an excellent choice. An Orlando women’s weight loss program using kettlebells can help you take off the weight and keep it off so that you enjoy overall fitness and good health.

Straight talk about empty calories during an Orlando women’s weight loss program can teach you how to recognize and eliminate them from your diet. Many women gain weight because they don’t realize how many empty calories they actually consumer each day. These calories are found in unhealthy fats and sugar and their consumption needs to be carefully monitored.

Orlando Women’s Weight Loss on Premium Calories

Calories are calories. Right? Well…no…that’s not totally right. A calorie may be defined as a unit of energy, but some calories are needed by the body while others are not. The ones that are not are actually calories that can harm the body which is why some foods are said to be ‘bad’ for you.

Empty calories are also called energy dense foods. They come from foods with little (if any) nutritional benefits. The calories are mostly found in sugar and artery clogging solid fats. You don’t need either one of these types of calories because they increase your risk of developing diseases like cardiovascular disease or diabetes.

Empty calories also cause weight gain because they contribute to body fat formation. A healthy Orlando women’s weight loss program obviously does not include the foods that contain high amounts of solid fats or sugars. Instead, a healthy nutritional plan is developed that includes carbs from whole grains and vegetables, protein from lean chicken and legumes and unsaturated fats from lean meats, nuts, fish and vegetable spreads.

Another way to think about it is this: weight gain from empty calories represents poor food choices. Saturated fats and sugar are enemies of good health.

Stay Away From Empty Calories

On any nutritional plan, including the Orlando women’s weight loss program, you have to beware of promises made on food labels. They may say ‘low sugar’ or ‘low fat’ but are they? Any empty calories are harmful to weight loss, so don’t assume that it’s only candy, cakes, pies, ice cream, and sirloin steaks that are filled with these useless calories. Have you ever read the nutritional content of low fat salad dressing or whole wheat muffins which contain sugar?

Some foods are obviously low in nutrition and high in empty calories. Desserts have both solid fat and sugar. Sodas and energy drinks are often loaded with sugar to give temporary energy boosts. Cereals with sugar added and sweet tea may taste good but they are filled with empty calories. It is especially ironic when whole wheat cereal (good for you) is coated with processed sugar (empty calories) or green tea (good for you) has added sugar (bad for you).

Fatty foods include sausages, cheese, pizza, potato chips, ground beef or pork that is not lean, heavily marbled beef, gravies and sauces, macadamia nuts, foods cooked with sweetened condensed milk and ribs.

In Disguise

The sources of empty calories can be disguised as healthy foods too. For example, fruit juices may appear to be healthy but many are not because they are loaded with sugar. All beef hot dogs may sound healthy, but most hot dogs contain solid fat which raises blood cholesterol and promotes body fat.

It’s important to remember that every empty calorie you eat is replacing a nutritional calorie. The Orlando women’s weight loss program focuses on eating the right calories and staying away from the empty ones. You’ll be surprised how soon the weight disappears into empty space.
